Our Team

Washington
Founder & Manager
I lead this project with the unwavering support of my family. Starting this venture was a challenging yet rewarding journey into the fascinating world of birds. Our dedication to offering an exceptional experience to our visitors, combined with the incredible variety of endemic birds, has become our greatest strength.
I describe myself as a calm, kind, and enthusiastic individual with a passion for birds, Ecuadorian gastronomy, and nature. While I am not fluent in English, I am continuously learning to connect better with our guests. You’ll often find me maintaining the birdwatching setup, managing our social media, or personally welcoming visitors to the reserve.

Patricia
My mother is the backbone of our family’s efforts. Though she wasn’t initially as excited about this project, her unwavering strength and kindness have made her one of our biggest motivators today. She contributes by taking care of the habitat of the birds daily, assisting with maintenance, and occasionally greeting visitors with her characteristic warmth.
Javier
My younger brother is a passionate nature lover who is training to become a professional tour guide. His exceptional ability to detect and identify birds, even without seeing them, makes him an invaluable part of our team. He helps guide large groups and supports the upkeep of our shared spaces.

Miguel
He is my father, with an incredible passion for birds and a seasoned ornithologist.
He works as a tourism guide (bird guide) and is highly recognized in Ecuador.
He supports the promotion of the venture through his network of friends: guides, travel agencies, lodge directors, and tourists.
